ABSTRACT
The aim of the research was to examine the impact of
Leadership Characteristic variable
include innovation and knowledge Leadership and organization
Characteristic variable about employee knowledge and information intensity on information
technology adoption of small industries in Ambon Town.
A survey was conducted in Ambon Town by puposive sampling technique. The samples that can be used to
data analysing are 118 respondent of 150 questionares that was returned. PLS
regression is used to examine four research hypotheses. Research instrumens
validity was measured by convergent validity and discriminant validity.
Instrument reliability was measured by cronbach’s alpha and composite
reliability.
Research shows that information intensity have significantly
positive effect to small business decision to adopt IT. On the other hand, CEO
Characteristic have significantly negative effect to small businesses decision
to adopt IT. This research also show that business size, employees’ IT knowledge
and competition not significantly effect to small businesses decision to adopt
IT.
